Overview of Services

COM-Phoenix Shared Equipment is composed of the Biological Irradiator and Imager shared equipment resource, the Seahorse XF, and the Neurocircuits & Behavior Core.

 

Neurocircuits and Behavior Core

The Neurocircuits and Behavior Core (NBC) provides state-of-the-art equipment, resources, and training to support the comprehensive assessment of cognitive, sensory, motor, and affective behaviors in preclinical models. Whether working with transgenic mouse models, evaluating novel therapeutics, or investigating brain-behavior relationships, researchers can access a broad array of validated behavioral assays designed to yield high-quality, reproducible data. Complementing these capabilities are advanced in vivo neural activity monitoring and manipulation technologies, precision stereotactic surgery systems, high-resolution imaging platforms, and integrated video tracking software for robust data analysis.

Biological Irradiator and Imager

The Biological Irradiator and Imager shared equipment resource also known as XRAD 320 provides access to x-ray irradiation and x-ray and luminescence imaging on the Phoenix Bioscience Core. This resource is sponsored by the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
